Archery Club with Families!

Our Fourth Grader Archery Club had an AMAZING day guiding and equipping parents and families through archery practice!

Students gave their families a glimpse into the exciting world of archery. With patience, care, and lots of enthusiasm, they demonstrated how to aim, shoot, and stay safe, providing a fun, hands-on experience for everyone. Families cheered, laughed, and even tried a few steps themselves, making the day full of learning, fun, and connection.

It was so special to see our fourth graders shine while sharing their skills and confidence with the people who support them every day!

Leadership Recognition for our Secretaries!

Today we celebrated two incredible leaders in our school—our amazing secretaries!

From keeping the office running smoothly to helping students, teachers, and families every single day, Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Stuckey do it all with a smile and a heart full of care. Their leadership, organization, and endless support make our school a better place for everyone.

We are so grateful for everything they do behind the scenes to keep our school running like a well-oiled machine. Thank you for your dedication, kindness, and for always going above and beyond!

Celebrating Our Counselors!

Counselor Appreciation Week was in full swing this week!

From fun surprises and sweet treats to special thank-you notes and classroom shout-outs, we made sure our amazing school counselors felt the love every single day. Mrs. Karr and Mrs. McNew guide, encourage, and support our students through every challenge—helping them grow, learn, and feel safe at school!

We were so grateful for their kindness, patience, and dedication. It was a week (and every day!) to celebrate the heart and heroism of our counselors who make our school a brighter, happier place!

100th Day of School!

Today we celebrated the 100th Day of School, and it was 100 times the fun! Our hallways were filled with “100-year-olds” showing off gray hair, silly glasses, suspenders, pearls, and canes.

Throughout the day, students counted, created, and celebrated being 100 days smarter! From fun math activities to exciting classroom projects, the day was full of laughter and learning. We are so proud of all the hard work our students have done these first 100 days. Here’s to the next 100!

Lakahoma's Spelling Bee Champions!

The energy was OFF THE CHARTS at today’s school-wide Spelling Bee!

Our brave spellers stood on stage, took deep breaths, and spelled some super tricky words. The crowd held their breath with every letter announced… and then CHEERED loud and proud after every word! Huge applause to all our brave spellers for their courage, confidence, and incredible brain power. We are so proud of everyone who tried their best and showed great courage. What an unforgettable day of school spirit and spelling greatness!

A Special Guest Visits Prek!

Misty Eidson, MPS Director of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction, visited Mrs. Croom’s PreK class right before Christmas break! Not only does Mrs. Eidson write our district curriculum, she also builds meaningful, intentional classroom relationships — reading to PreK and sharing her love of learning with our students! We’re so lucky to have such intentional leadership in MPS! Thank you, Misty, for all that you do!
