Mrs. Carter is a Mustang Public Schools graduate!  She continued on to UCO and graduated from there.  For 11 years she worked at Mustang Trails and taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd.  Mrs. Carter has now worked for 19 years as a school administrator. 

Hi! My name is Karen Bush, and I’m the Assistant Principal here at Lakehoma Elementary. I’m excited to be in my eighth year with this amazing school. I’ve spent 20 years in education, and I’m truly passionate about how public schools can transform communities.

Every day, I’m inspired by our students, staff, and families, and I love being part of a place where kids can learn, grow, and feel supported. I’m looking forward to a great year together!
