Mustang High School Junior Scores Perfect 36 on ACT

(Mustang, Oklahoma – May 6, 2022) – Mustang High School Junior John Cady has scored a perfect 36 on the ACT (college entrance exam) which puts him in the 99th percentile nationally out of approximately 2 million test-takers. On average, less than one-half of 1 percent of the students who take the ACT each year earns the top score.  Exceptional scores on the exam provide colleges with evidence of student readiness for the academic rigors of college, according to ACT.  The exam includes English, mathematics, reading and science sections; each section is scored on a scale of 1-36, and the composite score is the average of the four.

John is a member of MHS Robotics and R.E.A.C.H. These [R.E.A.C.H.] student leaders help at Freshman Orientation in August by leading a small group of freshmen in introductory activities and a providing personal tour of the MHS campus. Student Leaders also focus on character development and improving the student culture at MHS.

I am so proud of John and this accomplishment! He is a kind and  hard working student,” MHS Counselor Carie Allen said.  “ He represents the best of Mustang High School and I believe John will continue to earn more academic achievements as part of the Class of 2023.”
